Careers at ACOG

ACOG is a small team of diverse and experienced professionals from the aviation sector. As we continue to coordinate the programme of airspace change, there will be opportunities to grow the team over the coming months and years.

BI Analyst (Airspace) | NATS

Duties include:
  • Manage and complete analytical tasks, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and estimated effort, to the required quality in line with masterplan requirements. This will include conducting or reviewing scientific, technical or data analysis and drawing technical conclusions.
  • Collaborate with sponsors and co-sponsors of airspace change proposals to determine the collective impact of airspace change using the ACOG Cumulative Assessment Framework.
  • Ownership of the data life cycle for the Benefits Management Model, ensuring validity and accuracy of airspace modernisation benefits data. Report regularly on progress and proactively identify benefit realisation opportunities.
  • Use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software to visualise, manipulate, and analyse aeronautical data for the purposes of reporting or model input.
  • Maintain the current ACOG suite of Power BI datasets and dashboards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the wider ACOG team with the provision of data and analysis to help achieve ACOG’s objectives.
Essential skills/experience:
  • A degree level in an aviation, scientific, technical or numerate subject area, or significant equivalent experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including a proven history of conducting analysis, drawing robust conclusions, and reporting these accurately and meaningfully.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Power Platform with the ability to build data models from multiple sources, including the need to transform data using Power Query, M, DAX or similar.
  • Knowledge in GIS and proficiency in software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
    Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collate technical data and information and develop workable solutions.
Desirable skills:
  • Knowledge of aeronautical data sources and the use of this information throughout the ATM environment is desirable.
